Today, Mayor John Tory announced a partnership with OCAD University’s Visual Analytics Lab and an ambitious open data plan as part of the City’s ongoing improvements to the recreation registration process.

Toronto Hydro gives top marks to Union Station Revitalization Project

Toronto Hydro has awarded the City of Toronto's Union Station Revitalization Project close to $1 million in incentives through the Save on Energy Retrofit program for the project's investment in energy-saving technology.

Toronto reports first human case of West Nile virus in 2016

Toronto Public Health has received laboratory confirmation that an adult resident in Toronto has tested positive for West Nile virus. This is the first human case testing positive for West Nile virus in Toronto for 2016. Two probable cases of West Nile virus have also been reported to Toronto Public Health and are under investigation.

Toronto's Mayor Tory joins global mayors in urging G20 leaders to confront climate change

Mayor John Tory and leaders from 30 of the world’s major cities have joined together to call on G20 leaders representing 20 of the world's largest economies to act faster in tackling climate change. In a joint letter issued days before the G20 leaders will meet in Hangzhou, China, the call puts pressure on the major nations of the world to deliver on the promises of the Paris Agreement, which was signed by 180 countries in December 2015.
