City of Toronto has a new film sector development officer

The City of Toronto has hired a film sector development officer to help support and enhance the City's relationships with screen-based industries locally, nationally and internationally. Michele Alosinac started work with the City this week.

City of Toronto announces Community Garden Awards

The City of Toronto's annual Parks, Forestry and Recreation Community Garden Awards recognize outstanding front gardens that contribute to the beautification of the city through creative landscaping, colourful annual and perennial plantings, and well kept grounds. The winners for 2014 have been announced and were awarded last night.

Book about Toronto's Don Valley launched at Todmorden Mills

This evening, a book entitled Reclaiming the Don: An Environmental History of Toronto's Don Valley was launched at an event held at the City of Toronto's Todmorden Mills historic site in the Don Valley.

311 Toronto celebrates five years of customer service

311 Toronto, the City of Toronto's contact centre for non-emergency service requests and information, is celebrating its fifth anniversary. Since 2009, 311 Toronto customer service representatives have responded to over five million calls, 375,000 emails and 15,000 tweets.
